Silkworms molt four times before making a cocoon, and when they break out of their old shells and emerge, it is called "waking up." In reference to this phrase, there is a legend that silkworm farmers have continued to worship the "fall down seven times, get up eight times" daruma as a precious guardian deity. One way to enjoy it is to start with a small size and make it bigger every year.
