By using ice packs, this gear container can also be used as a simple cooler bag. The bag is constructed with thick insulating cushioning sandwiched between a Cordura nylon outer layer and a silver reflective fabric lining, and it uses a waterproof zipper to increase airtightness. Of course, it's not as good as a cooler bag designed specifically for keeping things cold, but it is recommended (as a sub-cooler) for storing items such as water or tea that don't need to be kept that cold and that don't require the bother of putting them in a hard cooler. As a rough guide for what can fit inside, it's about 4 x 2L plastic bottles + 3 x 500ml plastic bottles. Personally, I think it's a size that can store all the food and drinks you need for solo camping outside of summer. (Note: Please note that this will depend on the temperature and the performance of the cooling material. Also, since it is not waterproof, please do not use it to fill it with water or put in anything that leaks.) As a gear container, I recommend it for storing small stoves (for worms, personally), small fans, equipment, gas cans, fuel bottles, and other items that you don't want to expose to impacts. (Note: It does not provide complete protection for the contents.) There are daisy chains around the bag so you can connect carabiners to hang small items. A shoulder strap is included (not shown in the image), so please use the strap when lifting the bag. In addition, the bottom is made of tarpaulin, which is designed to be placed on the ground, making it easy to wipe off dirt.
