The material used is Honduran mahogany, which is known as the "genuine mahogany" among mahogany. You can choose from three types of finishing: urethane paint and wiped lacquer. The urethane allows you to feel the original color and texture of the mahogany, while the wiped lacquer allows you to enjoy the changes in color and luster that occur over time. The urethane comes with a COYOTE storage bag, and the lacquer comes with an OD storage bag, so you can use them when taking them outdoors. The product is delivered after undergoing an inspection process unique to lacquerware makers, called "hot water inspection," in which hot water is poured over the product and it is left to sit overnight to check for any leaks.
