With the cooperation of NERU DESIGN WORKS, we decided to design and forge a new axe from the blade up. Based on the assumption that it is a medium-sized tool capable of splitting firewood, the head is designed to emphasize sharpness, with a head weight of approximately 1kg. The matching handle has a sturdy design that combines a flowing S-curve with a powerful presence. The protrusion in the middle position is what is called a finger groove in knife terms, and serves as both a finger grip when gripping the knife and a slide stopper. The handle material is imported from North America and is made from American hickory, a material used by axe manufacturers around the world. The plain type has a simple finish with a printed logo, while the checkered type is finished with the standard checkered finish (the same diamond pattern as the COLT Government) and laser engraving, which was done in cooperation with CAWCRAFT APPLEWORKS, a model gun manufacturer renowned for its leading processing techniques and unique attention to detail, creating a decoration that also acts as a strong anti-slip agent. Note: Hickory wood comes in a variety of colors depending on the part of the wood from which it is cut. Please be aware that there are individual differences in the wood color and appearance of each product, such as dark colored parts, whitish parts, parts with a mix of both, parts with small knots, etc. (There is no difference in strength depending on the part or color.) Please also note that the laser penetration will vary depending on the color of the wood and the amount of oil.
