Weaving tradition and innovation

Tango Chirimen is woven in the Tango region of Kyoto Prefecture.
Tango is the largest silk fabric producing region in Japan, with a share of approximately 70% of the national total.
For 300 years, Tango craftsmen have been creating products for the Japanese clothing industry throughout the ages.
By applying twisted yarn and weaving techniques, a variety of materials have been created, such as sheer woven crepe, sewn crepe woven with colored threads, gold and silver threads, and elegant, lustrous donsu crepe.
