Hizen Yoshida ware is a ceramic production area produced in an area spanning Saga and Nagasaki.
When Toyotomi Hideyoshi invaded Korea, the lord of Saga brought back Korean potters and had them produce ceramics in Yoshida.
Hizen Yoshida ware flourished mainly in the production of tableware and other household items, and boasts a history of over 400 years.
His works range from teacups, tea bowls, and sake cups to coffee cups and vases, and he has a liberal style.
The Yoshida area is also blessed with beautiful nature and abundant resources, and is known for its Ureshino tea.
